Formal training in this industry regarding construction applications is almost nil. Usually workers from other related fields like Marine, Automotive or Industrial sort of gravitate into this business, use the skills they bring to the table and learn more from supervisors and co-workers. They also invent new ones. The Sign, Scenic & Theme business requires a combination of high levels of creativity and design. You need artists, craftsmen and even engineers, depending on the focus of the business. We are still building the training issues on this page, but most will overlap from other industries.

When it comes to coatings however, there are none better than Matthews paint systems and the service of the Matthews Paint Co., now owned by PPG. Matthews does offer classroom-style course instruction at PPG's Orlando training center and elsewhere. Check below for course schedules.
